Modern Minimalist Landscape

Our garden had been serving as a practical but tired yard and play space for the kids—it worked, but it was messy and uninspiring. I reached out to Jack at Verde Design for some fresh ideas, and he came back with a concept that genuinely excited me. I never imagined we could have such a clean, stylish garden makeover that still met all our needs: storage, play space, room to grow veg, and more.

The design cleverly partitions the space, giving everything its own place and purpose. I can’t recommend working with a good garden designer enough—especially for your own home. It’s surprisingly hard to think outside the box when you’re so familiar with the space.

I’m thrilled with the final result. The natural granite plank paving, with bullnose step details, has a subtle, modern feel that sparkles in the sun and will age beautifully. We also made room in the budget for mature trees and planting, which I’d highly recommend—instant privacy and a huge visual impact. It was worth every penny.

Now, I’m genuinely excited to watch the garden mature over the coming years. Finally, we have the kind of outdoor space a landscaper’s family should have!
